I’m going out on a limb and say that most of our blog readers are friends and family located here in the United States and are busily preparing for Thanksgiving Day. As I stop and think back over the past year, I am humbled by the sheer volume of things that I have to be thankful for. A year ago, we were just starting out on this crazy process called international adoption and to think about how far we’ve come and how little we truly have left until we get our little guy home, I’m immensely grateful. For each one of you who has played a part in this, we say thank you!

And we have some incredible news to share. =)

Earlier today, we received word from our agency that our little guy’s file has been submitted for government approval! Once we have this, then it’s the court date and then he gets to come home. Based on what we are seeing, we anticipate this happening sometime in late March or April. While we’d love to have him home before the end of the year, we are very excited and grateful that it should happen early in 2014! The next six months promises to be incredibly crazy but we are excited for the ride.

Thank you again for all your support and prayers. We are blessed to have friends and family who support us and encourage us on this journey. But we’re not quite all the way home yet. Here’s two more requests to help us get the rest of the way home with our Little Guy:

1) We are still raising money for our matching grant from Brittany’s Hope. You can CLICK HERE and it will take you to the matching grant page where you can enter your payment information. Your gift is doubled and will make sure we are fully set to bring Little Guy home!

2) Little Guy’s birthday is towards the end of March. We would LOVE to have at least met him and be able to give him his birthday present  in person. This would mean our initial court date would need to be around this time. So, we are asking you to join us in asking God to push our paper work through so we can make that trip before our Little Guy’s next birthday.

Thanks again for all your prayers and support. And most of all – thanks be to God for all His blessings!

Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us,  to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.
